The Israel Center for Educational Innovation (ICEI)

A non-profit organization that implements a whole school reform program to turn around underachieving Israeli elementary schools with significant numbers of Ethiopian-Israeli students. ICEI’s intervention dramatically raises the achievement levels of all students in participating schools by upgrading teaching, improving school leadership and management and creating a school culture of success and high expectations. ICEI greatly increases the quantity and quality of literacy instruction, and helps parents learn how to support their children’s education.
